DIY Sofa Table.

I’m co-publishing a home improvement post alongside Lacey’s post on our new place mats. We continuously battle for blog posting rights for DIY.

For this project, we decided to build a custom sofa table after coming to the conclusion that we’d never find one the right size at the right price. Our previous experience upon entering the house was quite the eyesore with the living room gash made for our lamp. After some Home Depot cutting, a few screws, several coats of varnish, and Lacey’s decorative touch on top, we present to you our new flat surface.

Super Simple Tumblr Pillow

1. Get a pillow.
2. Insert said pillow into Tumblr bag.

Vespa Scooter Rocking Horse.

I feel bad for the Vespa, I’m sure it had some more kick in it, but I’ll be damned if that isn’t the luckiest kid around to be rocking on that bad girl.  This takes DIY to a new level. Thanks Inhabitat.

DIY Laptop Stand

Like hell I’m paying 25$ for a piece of plastic that will consume energy and emit waste when I already have perfectly good cardboard boxes around. I wrapped it up in some UPS paper, cut a hole in the back for wires, and called it a day. Bam, perfect posture.

BTW, I still need to do my monitor stand. It is held up by Javascript books, but no one reads those books anymore anyways, what with JQuery and all.

Technology, my friends, leads us to wondrous. But a problem arises.  I can’t actually find a place to buy this thing, and now I need it.  Poor books, sitting there… DIY project time with a sharpee and left over rubber bands! Thanks MocoLoco!
